報(bào)告人簡介: Dr. Liao received his Batchelor of Science degree in Hydraulics Engineering form Tsinghua University, Master of Science degrees in Urban and Environmental Sciences from Peking University, and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. Dr Liao joined the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2005 and he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Liao’s research interests include water resources engineering, environmental fluid mechanics, and numerical modeling of physical, chemical and biological processes in aquatic systems.  He has published over 70 papers in peer-refereed journals and professional conferences. He has been the PI or Co-PI of multiple research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, US Navy, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
