報告摘要：In this talk, we propose a mathematical model for HIV infection with delays in cell infection and virus production. The model examines a viral therapy for controlling infections through recombining HIV with a genetically modified virus. For this model, we derive two biologically insightful quantities (reproduction numbers) R0 and Rz, and their threshold properties are discussed. When R0 <1, the infection-free equilibrium E0 is globally asymptotically stable. If R0 >1 and Rz <1, the single-infection equilibrium Es is globally asymptotically stable. When Rz >1, there occurs the double-infection equilibrium Ed, and there exists a constant Rb such that Ed is asymptotically stable if 1<Rz<Rb. Some simulations are performed to support and complement the theoretical results.

報告人簡介：袁沅，1984年于武漢大學(xué)獲得學(xué)士學(xué)位，1988年于中南大學(xué)獲得碩士學(xué)位，2002年于加拿大西安大略大學(xué)（University of Western Ontario）獲得博士學(xué)位。2002年受NSERC（加拿大國家自然科學(xué)基金）資助曾在滑鐵盧大學(xué)(University of Waterloo)做短暫博士后研究，隨后于 2002 年9 月起受聘于加拿大紐芬蘭紀(jì)念大學(xué)（Memorial University of Newfoundland）至今，現(xiàn)為該校數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計系終身正教授和博士生導(dǎo)師。

袁教授主要研究方向包括非線性動力系統(tǒng)的穩(wěn)定性及分支分析、時滯微分方程及其在神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)和生物數(shù)學(xué)等的應(yīng)用、微分方程的符號及數(shù)值計算方法。現(xiàn)已在 SIAM Journal of Appled Mathematics, Journal of Mathematical Biology, Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Journal of Differential Equations, Nonlinear Analysis: Real World Applications, SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems 等主要應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)及生物數(shù)學(xué)雜志發(fā)表論文近六十篇。研究成果深受同行好評及引用，研究一直受到加拿大NSERC的資助。
