Mbakisya Onyango博士，田納西大學查塔努加分校（UTC）土木與化學工程系加州大學基金會的副教授。專業(yè)領(lǐng)域包括分析性機械路面的設計與分析、土木工程材料測試與評估、路面維護、路面標線、使用聚酯層材料進行路面維護、交通規(guī)劃，以及路面管理與評估。畢業(yè)于堪薩斯州立大學，主修運輸工程專業(yè)，獲土木工程專業(yè)博士學位，于2010年1月就職于UTC。目前擔任交通研究委員會（TRB）大學代表、國際研討會交通運輸環(huán)境可持續(xù)發(fā)展系統(tǒng)方法分會技術(shù)委員，同時在寒冷氣候環(huán)境可持續(xù)運輸中心（CESTiCC）工作，從事三個項目研究，分別為：田納西州機械經(jīng)驗性路面設計指導部門（MEPDG）交通數(shù)據(jù)輸入研究，使用聚酯層材料進行路面維護的研究，以及使用加速路面試驗對柔性路面結(jié)構(gòu)中土工合成材料加筋體進行評估的研究。這三個項目由TDOT資助，總投入為37.3萬美元。

Dr. Mbaki Onyango is U.C. Foundation Professor in the Civil and Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). She graduated with a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Kansas State University, USA and master’s in international Highway Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. At UTC she teaches civil engineering undergraduate and graduate classes and conducts research in transportation, construction materials and STEM Education areas. Her research areas of interest include analytical and mechanistic pavement design and analysis, civil engineering materials testing and evaluation, pavement preservation, and pavement management and evaluation. Since joining UTC in 2010, she has attracted research funding to the amount of $ 2.7 million as PI or Co-PI including funding from CEACSE, TDOT, ORNL and NSF. Collectively with her collaborators, she has over 50 journal publications and conference proceedings. She has advised over 100 undergraduate students and supervised 10 graduate students’theses.
