Mbakisya Onyango博士，田納西大學(xué)查塔努加分校（UTC）土木與化學(xué)工程系加州大學(xué)基金會(huì)的副教授。專(zhuān)業(yè)領(lǐng)域包括分析性機(jī)械路面的設(shè)計(jì)與分析、土木工程材料測(cè)試與評(píng)估、路面維護(hù)、路面標(biāo)線、使用聚酯層材料進(jìn)行路面維護(hù)、交通規(guī)劃，以及路面管理與評(píng)估。畢業(yè)于堪薩斯州立大學(xué)，主修運(yùn)輸工程專(zhuān)業(yè)，獲土木工程專(zhuān)業(yè)博士學(xué)位，于2010年1月就職于UTC。目前擔(dān)任交通研究委員會(huì)（TRB）大學(xué)代表、國(guó)際研討會(huì)交通運(yùn)輸環(huán)境可持續(xù)發(fā)展系統(tǒng)方法分會(huì)技術(shù)委員，同時(shí)在寒冷氣候環(huán)境可持續(xù)運(yùn)輸中心（CESTiCC）工作，從事三個(gè)項(xiàng)目研究，分別為：田納西州機(jī)械經(jīng)驗(yàn)性路面設(shè)計(jì)指導(dǎo)部門(mén)（MEPDG）交通數(shù)據(jù)輸入研究，使用聚酯層材料進(jìn)行路面維護(hù)的研究，以及使用加速路面試驗(yàn)對(duì)柔性路面結(jié)構(gòu)中土工合成材料加筋體進(jìn)行評(píng)估的研究。這三個(gè)項(xiàng)目由TDOT資助，總投入為37.3萬(wàn)美元。

Dr. Mbaki Onyango is U.C. Foundation Professor in the Civil and Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). She graduated with a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from Kansas State University, USA and master’s in international Highway Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. At UTC she teaches civil engineering undergraduate and graduate classes and conducts research in transportation, construction materials and STEM Education areas. Her research areas of interest include analytical and mechanistic pavement design and analysis, civil engineering materials testing and evaluation, pavement preservation, and pavement management and evaluation. Since joining UTC in 2010, she has attracted research funding to the amount of $ 2.7 million as PI or Co-PI including funding from CEACSE, TDOT, ORNL and NSF. Collectively with her collaborators, she has over 50 journal publications and conference proceedings. She has advised over 100 undergraduate students and supervised 10 graduate students’theses.
